Doctor Biography:

Dr. Masud Rana is an experienced Cornea Specialist and Phaco Surgeon with expertise in the diagnosis and management of corneal diseases, anterior segment disorders, and modern cataract surgery. He is currently serving at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital and is also a Consultant at Retina Glaucoma Center & Superspecialty Eye Hospital (RGC Eye Hospital). He is committed to providing comprehensive eye care through advanced diagnostic methods and evidence-based treatment.

Dr. Rana completed his MBBS and subsequently earned the Diploma in Ophthalmology (DO) from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). He also joined the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Health Cadre, reflecting his dedication to serving patients through both government and specialized ophthalmic healthcare services.

To further enhance his clinical expertise, Dr. Rana completed a Long-Term Fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment. This advanced fellowship provided him with specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal disorders, ocular surface diseases, anterior segment conditions, and advanced cataract surgery.

Throughout his professional career, Dr. Rana has been actively involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of various eye diseases. His experience in corneal and anterior segment care enables him to provide personalized treatment using modern ophthalmic techniques while striving to achieve the best possible visual outcomes for his patients.

His area of special interest is Cornea. He is dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while utilizing the latest advancements in ophthalmology to preserve and restore vision.

Currently, Dr. Masud Rana is available for consultation at Retina Glaucoma Center & Superspecialty Eye Hospital (RGC Eye Hospital). His chamber schedule is Wednesday (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM) and Thursday (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM).
