Doctor Biography:

Dr. Md Nazrul Islam is an experienced Cornea Specialist and Phaco Surgeon with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal diseases, anterior segment disorders, and cataracts. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Dhaka, where he provides specialized ophthalmic care while contributing to medical education and clinical training.

Dr. Nazrul Islam completed his MBBS from Dhaka and subsequently earned the Diploma in Ophthalmology (DO) and the prestigious FCPS (Ophthalmology). To further strengthen his expertise, he completed a Long-Term Fellowship in Cornea from Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital (IIEI&H), gaining advanced training in the diagnosis and management of corneal and ocular surface diseases.

Throughout his professional career, Dr. Nazrul Islam has been actively involved in clinical practice, academic teaching, and patient care. His experience in a leading tertiary medical institution has enabled him to provide comprehensive treatment for patients with various eye diseases while performing modern cataract surgery with precision and care.

His areas of special interest include Cornea, General Ophthalmology, and Phaco (Cataract) Surgery. He is committed to delivering personalized, evidence-based eye care by utilizing the latest diagnostic techniques and modern surgical approaches to achieve the best possible visual outcomes.

Currently, Dr. Md Nazrul Islam is available for consultation at Retina Glaucoma Center & Superspecialty Eye Hospital (RGC Eye Hospital). His chamber schedule is Saturday (4:00 PM – 9:00 PM), Sunday (3:00 PM – 9:00 PM), Monday (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM), and Thursday (3:00 PM – 9:00 PM). He is not available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
