Dr. Sheikh Md. Arafat Rahman is a highly qualified Retina Specialist and Phaco Surgeon with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of retinal diseases, comprehensive ophthalmic care, and modern cataract surgery. He is currently serving as a Consultant Phaco & Retina Surgeon at Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital, Dhaka. He is dedicated to delivering advanced eye care through modern diagnostic techniques, evidence-based treatment, and state-of-the-art surgical procedures.

Dr. Rahman completed his MBBS and subsequently earned the prestigious qualifications of FPS, MCPS (Ophthalmology), and ICO (Optics and Refraction). His academic and professional achievements reflect his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ophthalmic practice and continuous professional development.

To further enhance his expertise, Dr. Rahman completed a Fellowship in Vitreo-Retina from Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital (IIEI&H). This advanced fellowship provided him with specialized training in the diagnosis and management of retinal disorders, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular diseases, macular disorders, and vitreoretinal surgery.

Throughout his professional career, Dr. Rahman has been actively involved in clinical practice, retinal surgery, and patient care. As a Retina and Phaco Surgeon, he has successfully managed patients with a wide range of retinal diseases while providing comprehensive ophthalmic services using the latest diagnostic and surgical technologies.

His areas of special interest include Retina, General Ophthalmology, and Phaco (Cataract) Surgery. He is committed to providing personalized, evidence-based eye care while utilizing modern treatment approaches to achieve the best possible visual outcomes for his patients.

Currently, Dr. Sheikh Md. Arafat Rahman is available for consultation at Retina Glaucoma Center & Superspecialty Eye Hospital (RGC Eye Hospital). His chamber schedule is Saturday (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM), Sunday (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM), Monday (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM), Tuesday (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM), Wednesday (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM), and Thursday (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM). Friday remains his weekly off day.
