Doctor Biography:

Dr. Md. Tarikul Ahasan is a dedicated Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Strabismus Specialist with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of children's eye diseases, squint (strabismus), and pediatric vision disorders. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Consultant in the Department of Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus at Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital, Dhaka. He is committed to providing specialized eye care for infants, children, and patients with ocular alignment disorders.

Dr. Ahasan completed his MBBS and subsequently earned the Diploma in Ophthalmology (DO). To further enhance his expertise, he completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus from Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital (IIEI&H). He also received advanced Phaco Surgery Training in India, strengthening his skills in modern cataract surgery.

Throughout his professional career, Dr. Ahasan has been actively involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of pediatric eye conditions, including refractive errors, amblyopia (lazy eye), congenital cataracts, squint (strabismus), and other childhood vision disorders. His experience allows him to provide compassionate, child-friendly care while utilizing modern diagnostic and treatment techniques.

His area of special interest is Pediatric Ophthalmology and Children's Eye Care. He is dedicated to preserving and improving children's vision through early diagnosis, timely intervention, and individualized treatment plans.

Currently, Dr. Md. Tarikul Ahasan is available for consultation at Retina Glaucoma Center & Superspecialty Eye Hospital (RGC Eye Hospital). His chamber schedule is Monday (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM). He is not available on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
